Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems across our retail locations. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with store teams to minimize downtime and protect product integrity.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of refrigeration systems and components.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve common system issues.
• Takes ownership of assigned work and communicates clearly.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, electrical, and control system issues.
• Perform routine and non-routine service calls with minimal supervision.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or supervisors as needed.
• Support rack systems, case controls, and related components.
• Document work orders, labor, and refrigerant usage accurately.
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support.
