Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate equipment in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Must obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and operating procedures.
• Able to work extended hours, weekends, and emergency response assignments when needed.
• Knowledge of load placement and load securement when loading, unloading and hauling various types of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction and industrial equipment per plans and safety rules.
• Safely set up, position, inspect, and operate equipment per specs and lift plans.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and report deficiencies.
• Conduct lifting, excavation, hauling, and material handling with proper rigging and load control.
• Read job plans and drawings to ensure correct execution of work.
• Coordinate with supervisors and crews for safe work and transport logistics.
• Participate in JSBs and pre-task planning sessions.
• Support emergency restoration and storm response as required.
