Job summary

Harris Energy Solutions LLC is seeking a Field Quality Verifier to support asset inventory and facility condition assessments for municipal buildings in New York City. You will survey MEP equipment, tag assets with durable IDs, photograph nameplates, and rate conditions for capital planning and maintenance systems.

The role requires a mechanical/facilities background, accuracy, and ability to work across multiple sites, with travel across NYC.

Qualifications

Comfort with Excel, tablets, smartphones, mobile data-collection apps and cameras.
Willingness to travel across NYC boroughs for field surveys.
Ability to work independently and meet site-access requirements, including background checks.
One+ years HVAC, building maintenance, or energy audit experience preferred.
Ability to identify MEP equipment and read nameplates.
Careful data entry and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Survey major MEP equipment floor by floor and tag with a unique ID.
Record nameplate data and locations in a standardized inventory template or data app.
Photograph assets and link photos to their IDs and location.
Rate asset condition and estimate remaining life per ASTM E2018 guidance.
Report defects and life-safety concerns to the project manager promptly.
Upload inventory data and photos daily to the project platform and keep records.
Coordinate site access with building managers, engineers, and security staff.
Ensure data quality and compliance with project protocols.
