Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the project QC program, keep the inspection and test plan current, schedule and witness tests, and write the daily QC report. You will travel to sites as required, close nonconformances with the engineer of record, and mentor field inspectors toward the next career step, under the USACE and AASHTO quality framework.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and the engineer of record
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records
