Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Quality Control Manager I to own the project QC program under a senior manager. You will keep the inspection and test plan current, schedule and witness tests, and write the daily QC report, opening and tracking nonconformances until closure.

This role serves as the first management step for a field inspector or technician ready to own a program, with responsibility for documentation, testing, and compliance on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or QC
• Able to read specifications and drawings and translate into a test schedule
• Direct, organized, and comfortable communicating with a superintendent about nonconforming tests

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of technicians.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record; keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
• Lead documentation and communication when tests fail, including NCR initiation and corrective action tracking.
