Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project under a senior quality manager. You will keep the inspection and test plan current, schedule and witness tests, and open and track nonconformances until they close.

You'll lead a field team, ensure certifications are current, and produce the daily QC report and three-phase meeting records. This is a gateway role toward Quality Manager II with opportunities across the program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications; Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of the technicians performing tests; Write the daily QC report and meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record; keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
• Own the quality program on the project and guide inspectors toward a complete, accurate final report.
