Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Field Quality Manager to lead the development and execution of the Project Quality Plan on multi-project field operations. The role requires coordinating QA/QC resources, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with contract documents in a high-travel construction environment.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage nonconformances, audits, and causal analysis, and work with client teams to meet safety and quality objectives across Midwest projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, science, or technical field with 5+ years quality experience in EPC/industrial setting.
• Associates degree in engineering tech/science with 8+ years quality experience; 5+ years in EPC/industrial QA.
• If no degree, high school with 15+ years in construction/engineering and 10+ years in quality.
• Thorough knowledge of QualityManagement Systems for construction projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and writing skills; ASQ CMQ/OE recommended.
• Ability to access construction sites in diverse climates; knowledge of codes/standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement contract-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP) and approve subcontractor quality plans.
• Ensure quality staff are trained and have access to quality resources.
• Oversee Quality Assurance Program including issues management, nonconformance reporting, audits, causal analysis, inspections, procurement oversight, turnover.
• Lead and mentor junior QA/QC personnel.
• Maintain positive relationship with Client and reinforce safety culture.
• Interpret quality standards and regulatory requirements; define implementation strategies.
• Coordinate QA audits and assessments of QMS/PQP and subcontractor plans; document findings and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze findings for trends and work with project team on mitigation.
• Promote Continuous Improvement and participate in operation planning; ensure ITPs.
• Ensure turnover documentation complete and stored.
• Present at meetings; lead performance reviews.
