Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Field Quality Engineer in Houston, TX to investigate warranty failures, perform root cause analyses, and drive corrective actions across dealer, supplier, and customer interfaces. The role focuses on tractors and off-road equipment with cross-functional teamwork to improve reliability.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in failure analysis or quality engineering, with strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and experience reading engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in failure analysis, quality engineering, inspections, warranty analysis, or root cause investigations.
• Extensive knowledge of tractors, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or off-road vehicles required.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, diagnostics, ECUs, and troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze failed warranty parts and perform root cause investigations.
• Review dealer and customer quality concerns and provide timely resolution support.
• Inspect components against engineering drawings and identify non-conformances.
• Prepare detailed failure analysis reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve product quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support product updates, service campaigns, and warranty recovery efforts.
• Monitor dealer service portals and partner with field service teams to address technical concerns.
• Conduct parts teardown inspections, quality audits, and product evaluations.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and product performance.
