Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support project teams by performing inspections, audits, and documentation to ensure field activities meet approved plans and the QMS. The role emphasizes learning, applying, and executing quality processes in the field.

The candidate should have 2–3 years of construction or quality experience, a related degree, and ability to travel up to 100% to project sites. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical/associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of relevant construction or quality experience preferred.
• Government Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, email).
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite quality representative on one or multiple projects under the direction of quality leadership.
• Review and manage submittals during preconstruction and coordination meetings; verify submittals, materials, and installations.
• Monitor construction processes to identify potential quality issues and support timely resolution.
• Execute and document inspections, audits, and testing per ITPs and quality plans.
• Maintain drawings, specs, submittals, and quality docs for internal teams and trade partners.
