Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our field teams. You will act as the onsite quality representative, execute inspections, audits, and testing, and ensure compliance with approved plans and the QMS.

Responsibilities include reviewing submittals, tracking non-conformances, coordinating corrective actions, and supporting coordination with Quality leadership across projects. A technical degree and 2–3 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or technical/associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
2–3 years of relevant construction or quality experience preferred.
CQT certification preferred.
Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, email).
Ability to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

Serve as onsite quality representative on one or multiple projects under the direction of quality leadership.
Review and manage submittals during preconstruction and coordination meetings.
Monitor construction processes to identify quality issues and support timely resolution.
Execute inspections, audits, and testing per ITPs and project plans.
Maintain quality documentation and coordinate corrective actions with Site Quality Manager.
Manage hold points, tests, and third‑party inspections as required.
Use QMS for auditing, reporting, and daily inspections.
