Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a Quality Control Engineer in Hermiston/Umatilla, OR to support the Quality Manager and field QA efforts, ensuring product quality and compliance with project specs and client expectations. You will help implement standard operating procedures and provide feedback for process improvement.

The role requires a BS in Construction Management or related field with 4–7 years' experience (or 8+ years in construction supervision/inspection) and industry certifications.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 4–7 years experience preferred, or 8+ years of progressive construction supervision/inspection experience.
• Industry-related certifications
• Ability to organize people, tools and equipment and manage multiple activities
• Ability to perform in-process inspections and communicate results effectively
• Familiar with electronic data collection and inspection methods
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook

Responsibilities

• Support the application of the company SOPs at the project level.
• Review subcontractors' work for compliance with specs and codes.
• Conduct inspections, testing and product verification.
• Provide technical support to project team, Quality Manager and subcontractors.
• Support corrective and preventive actions in the field.
• Identify issues and trends impacting quality and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs and project reviews.
• Contribute to lessons learned and close-out processes.
