Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a QC Manager to join the Chantilly, VA team. You will support the Director of Quality Control in developing and applying quality management systems, ensuring SOPs are followed and customer satisfaction is maximized. You will work closely with project management to improve construction processes.

The role emphasizes leadership, data-driven problem solving, and implementing corrective actions across projects, while maintaining safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• BS in CM, Engineering, Business or related field; 7+ years experience.
• Strong presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC tools (Office) and scheduling software like P6.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SOP application at project level.
• Manage and implement project QC plans.
• Advise PM team and subs on QC activities.
• Identify issues and trends affecting quality and customer satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement and feedback loops.
• Review subcontractor QA plans.
• Participate in project reviews to improve procedures.
• Analyze issues, determine root cause, implement corrective actions.
• Assist in meeting project budget goals.
• Manage close-out and lessons learned.
