Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a hands-on quality control tester to support ready-mix concrete and aggregate testing at plant and field locations. You will ensure materials meet specifications and help adjust mixes based on results, collaborating with operations teams.

No prior QC experience is required; training will be provided. The role involves basic math, data recording, and working outdoors in varying weather, with occasional travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Strong basic math skills, including basic algebra and calculations.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn company systems
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of an operations team.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on quality control testing on ready-mix concrete and aggregates in plant and field environments to ensure materials meet specifications.
• Complete aggregate moisture testing and other routine quality checks to support daily concrete production.
• Monitor concrete performance and assist with adjusting mixes and admixtures based on testing results.
• Work directly with concrete trucks, plant equipment, and operations teams to identify and communicate quality concerns.
• Collect, document, and maintain accurate test results and quality records using basic computer systems.
• Assist with hands-on plant and operational tasks as needed to support production and business needs.
