Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a qualified QA/QC professional to develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) in accordance with FAR and CQM requirements. You will perform daily quality inspections, oversee QC meetings, review submittals, and coordinate with field teams and government representatives to address non-conformances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the QASP per FAR/CQM and contract specs.
• Perform daily quality inspections to ensure materials, workmanship, and methods meet required standards.
• Oversee construction contractor’s Quality Control meetings with project stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and materials for conformance with design specs and project requirements.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, project managers, and government representatives to address non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation including inspection reports, test results, NCRs, and corrective action logs.
• Collaborate with safety and project controls teams to ensure integrated compliance with quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
• Verify that all testing and inspection activities are performed by qualified personnel and approved laboratories.
• Participate in project meetings, audits, and final inspections to verify completion and acceptance criteria are met.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying quality trends and process enhancements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
