Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Quality Assurance professional for Federal construction projects. You will develop and maintain the QASP, perform field inspections, and ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.

You will collaborate with field supervisors, project managers, government representatives, and subcontractors to address non-conformances, document results, and drive continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen and able to pass a federal background check.
• Ability to work in the field for long periods.
• Strong writing and oral communication.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with quality plans and testing procedures.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the QASP in compliance with FAR, CQM and contract specs.
• Perform daily quality inspections and document progress to ensure standards.
• Oversee Quality Control meetings with stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and materials per specs.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, project managers, and government reps to address issues.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation including inspection reports and NCRs.
• Collaborate with safety and project controls teams for integrated compliance.
• Verify testing and inspections are performed by qualified personnel.
• Participate in project meetings, audits, and final inspections.
• Identify quality trends and drive process improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
