Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to develop and oversee project-specific QA plans in compliance with FAR and CQM requirements. The role includes daily inspections, submittal reviews, and coordination with field teams and government representatives.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with preferred credentials in federal construction quality programs and USACE CQM certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with large Federal construction quality programs preferred.
• Construction Quality Management for Contractors Certification (USACE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) in compliance with FAR, CQM requirements, and contract specs.
• Perform daily quality inspections and document progress to ensure materials, workmanship, and methods meet standards.
• Oversee construction contractor’s Quality Control meetings with stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and materials for conformance with design specifications.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, project managers, and government representatives to address non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation including inspection reports, test results, NCRs, and corrective action logs.
• Collaborate with safety and project controls to ensure integrated compliance with quality, safety, and schedule.
• Verify testing/inspection activities are performed by qualified personnel and approved labs.
• Participate in project meetings, audits, and final inspections to verify completion and acceptance criteria.
• Identify quality trends and process improvements for continuous improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
