Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to develop, implement, and maintain QASP in accordance with FAR and CQM requirements on federal construction projects. You will perform daily inspections, review submittals, and oversee QC meetings with contractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific QASP in compliance with FAR, CQM and contract specs.
• Perform daily quality inspections and document work progress to meet required standards.
• Oversee contractor’s Quality Control meetings with project stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and materials for conformance with design specs.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, project managers, and government reps to address non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation including inspection reports, test results, NCRs, and corrective action logs.
• Collaborate with safety and project controls teams to ensure integrated quality, safety and schedule compliance.
• Verify testing and inspection activities are performed by qualified personnel and approved labs.
• Participate in project meetings, audits, and final inspections to verify completion and acceptance criteria.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying quality trends and process enhancements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
