Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Quality Assurance / QC professional to support federal construction programs. The role focuses on developing and maintaining the QASP in accordance with FAR, CQM, and contract specifications.

You will perform daily quality inspections, review submittals and shop drawings, and lead QC meetings with project stakeholders and subcontractors while coordinating with government representatives to address non-conformances and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and pass a federal background check.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific QA Surveillance Plan (QASP) in compliance with FAR, CQM requirements, and contract specs.
• Perform daily quality inspections and document work progress to ensure materials, workmanship, and methods meet standards.
• Oversee construction contractor’s Quality Control meetings with project stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and materials to verify conformance with design specs and project requirements.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, project managers, and government representatives to address non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, NCRs, and corrective action logs.
• Collaborate with safety and project controls to ensure integrated quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Verify testing/inspection activities are performed by qualified personnel and approved laboratories.
• Participate in project meetings, audits, and final inspections to verify completion and acceptance criteria.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying quality trends and process enhancements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
