Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We’re seeking a Field Quality Control Technician to join our team and help connect America. This role involves leading efforts to identify and address field quality deficiencies, resulting in fewer damages.

What you’ll do…

1. Collaborate with operations supervisors, managers, and Field Check partners to select audits and prevent potential damages.
2. Perform field audits to ensure accuracy of marks and compliance with laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
3. Conduct root cause analysis on quality failures.
4. Complete forms and documents for audits and investigations, and communicate findings to relevant management.
5. Correct field risks and mentor technicians.
6. Perform quality assurance ride-alongs upon request.
7. Provide ongoing feedback to improve quality and reduce damages.
8. Provide witness testimony in legal cases when needed.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of locating or equivalent experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot difficult locates and interpret utility plats.
• Proficient with locating equipment and Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
• 5+ years of investigation experience.

Workplace Environment and Physical Demands:

This role requires sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods, often outdoors in all weather conditions and rugged terrains, including active construction sites. Candidates must be able to perform repetitive hand movements and handle extensive driving, sometimes for long durations away from home.
