Job summary

Ideal Option is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to support Law Enforcement Co-Response in Eugene and Lane County, Oregon. The role involves field-based behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, stabilization, and cross-agency coordination to promote safer outcomes during crisis calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• Two+ years of experience in behavioral health crisis or related field preferred.
• Experience delivering field-based behavioral health services and coordinating with multidisciplinary professionals.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls with law enforcement on mental health crises; provide field-based assessments.
• Conduct behavioral health screenings and assessments per policy.
• Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and safety planning.
• Coordinate referrals to treatment, housing, and community resources.
• Maintain trauma-informed, person-centered care and proper documentation.
