Job summary

The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) – Law Enforcement Co-Responder at Ideal Option PLLC partners with Eugene and Lane County law enforcement to deliver field-based behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, stabilization, and coordinated care. You will respond to behavioral health crises, conduct screenings, and support officers with crisis de-escalation and safety planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level QMHP qualification or equivalent per Oregon rules.
• Master's degree preferred in related field and clinical training.
• Experience providing field-based behavioral health services and crisis interventions.

Responsibilities

• Respond with law enforcement to crises involving mental health, substance use, suicidality or homelessness.
• Conduct field-based behavioral health screenings and assessments.
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, stabilization, and safety planning.
• Assist officers in identifying appropriate behavioral health interventions.
