Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Project Construction Technician to support power generation construction projects.

The role is based in Richmond, VA, with travel to VA, NC, PA, MD, WV and OH sites, inspecting geosynthetic liner installations and performing field tests on soils and earthwork. You will serve as the lead CQC/CQA representative on projects, document inspections and test results, coordinate equipment calibration, and help train other technicians while ensuring compliance with project

Qualifications

• Experience in construction quality control/assurance (CQC/CQA) for landfill projects.
• Field testing of soils/earthwork and inspection of liner installations.
• Ability to document inspections and test results accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, checks, tests, and sampling for power generation construction.
• Lead CQC/CQA activities on project sites and coordinate with Owner, Contractor, and labs.
• Document inspection results, calibrate equipment, and assist in developing procedures and checklists.
• Assist in training other technicians and interpreting project specifications.
