GAI Consultants is seeking a Construction Technician 1 to perform construction inspection on Power Generation projects in the Collegeville, PA area. The role includes interpreting specifications and drawings, evaluating soil/rock conditions, monitoring construction activities, and performing field tests of soils and concrete.

The candidate should have 5+ years of construction experience with earthwork, foundation inspection, test boring inspection and concrete testing, and may hold Nuclear

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience with earthwork, foundation inspection, test boring inspection and concrete testing.
• Experience with Nuclear Density Gauge Testing, ACI Grade 1 Certification and OSHA 10-hour Training is desired.
• Interpreting specifications and construction drawings, evaluating site conditions based on soil and rock samples, monitoring and reporting on construction activities, and performing field testing of soils and concrete.
• Travel up to 100% of the time daily; mostly within Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey with infrequent to Virginia.
• Able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Review plans and specifications in preparation for field observations on construction sites.
• Conduct tests and investigations in the field or laboratory to obtain data used by engineering and technical personnel in determining physical properties of construction materials.
• Collect soil, asphalt, and concrete samples, prepare samples for testing, record data, and prepare summary report.
• Document field activities, observations, and testing results on projects.
• Perform laboratory and field tests according to prescribed procedures, processes, and standards.
• Use specialized equipment and apparatus to prepare analyses, reports and/ or technical drawings.
• Communicate field and laboratory testing results with staff, contractors, and clients.
