Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking Building Science + Infrastructure Technician candidates for field testing and observations on diverse projects in the Richmond, VA area. You will perform field and laboratory tests, observe building systems, and learn progressively under supervision, while maintaining a positive client-facing attitude.

Ideal applicants have a high school diploma or GED, with 0–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate/technical degree preferred.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Certifications preferred but not required (NRCA, IIBEC, AWCI EIFS Inspector, ICC).
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiary.

Responsibilities

• Test and observe new construction or built environment work.
• Perform field and laboratory testing and observations.
• Learn testing/observation of various systems in indoor/outdoor conditions.
• Communicate daily with ECS staff, managers, clients, and site reps.
• Attend project meetings with senior staff/clients as requested.
• Document test results and observations in reports.
