Job summary

Danos is seeking an experienced Pump Mechanic in Pecos, TX to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps and related equipment used in oil and gas operations. The role requires hands-on work with packing, impellers, seals, bearings, and other components in an outdoor oilfield setting.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and disassemble/reassemble pumps as needed, with on-call rotations every other weekend.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in pump maintenance or oilfield equipment maintenance is required.
Experience with centrifugal pumps, injection pumps, or SWD equipment is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work outdoors in an oilfield environment.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on pumps and related mechanical equipment.
Inspect, repair, and replace pump packing, impellers, seals, bearings, and other components.
Diagnose mechanical failures and determine appropriate repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps as needed.
Identify worn or damaged components and make necessary replacements.
Use hand and power tools and mechanical equipment to complete repairs.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist with emergency repairs.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Follow company safety procedures and guidelines.
