Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) in the Fluid division to service and repair pumps while maintaining safety and quality. You’ll troubleshoot, document service, and support customers directly on site and at customer locations.

The role emphasizes training of junior technicians, travel to sites, and a strong focus on customer service and teamwork. A valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift up to 45 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing and maintaining pumps.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform service documentation.
• Train lower level Technicians.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
