Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan seeks skilled maintenance personnel for the Henderson mine and mill complex near Empire, CO. The role focuses on safe production, routine and non-routine maintenance, and on-site problem solving. Housing allowance is available for eligible on-site workers.

Candidates will perform mechanical repairs, diagnostics and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors and related equipment, with opportunities for growth and cross-training in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of mechanical/maintenance craft experience or equivalent education.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.
• Willingness to work on-site and pass required assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
• Complete Work Orders and related maintenance documentation.
• Repair, install, fabricate, rebuild and perform preventative maintenance on process equipment (pumps, conveyors, dryers, gearboxes, filters).
• Operate cranes and follow safe rigging practices.
• Follow MSHA/OSHA rules and site SOPs; participate in safety programs.
