Farmers Insurance is seeking a Field Property Claims Adjuster in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves investigating property damage at policyholder residences, assessing liability, and negotiating fair settlements using claims software, a company vehicle, and a laptop in a paperless environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written/verbal communication, critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment while multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate loss extent, and negotiate fair settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to determine claims-related damage and write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate and report on potential subrogation opportunities.
• Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate state and industry agencies.
• Perform duties independently, with work directly impacting management outcomes.
• Engage with diverse stakeholders including policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, and investigators.
• Negotiate with policyholders to settle claims.
• Other duties as assigned.
