Job summary

The role involves collecting data, conducting field inspections, preparing appeal materials, and assisting the public with valuation questions. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of appraisal experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of increasingly responsible property appraisal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine property appraisals and basic level appraisals of real, personal, commercial, and exempt property under supervision.
• Collect property data, measure, sketch, photograph new property, and audit existing data to determine values.
• Perform field inspections to verify reports against actual properties and update records.
• Prepare appeal data, gather information, and research for appeal hearings.
• Assist property owners, taxpayers, and the public with appraisal methodology, appeals process, parcel ownership, mapping, and valuation questions.
• Perform other duties of similar nature or level.
