Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Project Manager for hands-on, field-driven leadership of complex customer projects, including nuclear sites. You will drive safety, schedule, profitability, and client satisfaction while spending substantial time on job sites and coordinating crews and equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), strong leadership, and willingness to travel as needed to manage field operations and site access, including nuclear and government

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of engineering plans and specifications.
• Understanding of heavy industrial construction markets including power generation and DOE sites.
• Basic understanding of machinery and industrial project flow.
• Must demonstrate planning and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and improvement of the project management team's efficiency.
• Participate in site visits, proposal and contract development to understand scope and risk.
• Lead projects from sales through development to execution; maintain communication with Project Sales Representative.
• Interact with customers, engineers, vendors, and others throughout design and planning phases.
• Develop and maintain an overall project schedule with critical path visibility.
• Regularly communicate project status including schedule, finances, risk, quality and safety.
