Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead installation, programming, startup, and certification of Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects. You will supervise field teams, coordinate with project staff, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.

The role requires strong technical aptitude, supervisory skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. Dallas-based travel is expected as projects span multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant field project management experience.
• Experience in building automation, fire alarm & life safety systems or electronic security.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall site management of projects to ensure timely completion within budget and scope.
• Coordinate with Project Coordinator to plan installation and procedures.
• Supervise Project Specialists, Installers, and subcontractors; mentor and direct teams.
• Identify project risks and develop strategies to minimize deviations from costs and deadlines.
• Ensure installation quality in line with codes and company standards.
