Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is required.
• Associate degree with four years of progressive experience in concrete, asphalt, soils, or related field.
• Equivalent mix of education and experience up to six years accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and inspectors on grading, drainage, pavements, and structures.
• Coordinate with contractor workflow; prepare Daily Inspector Reports.
• Estimate time of completion and assist in preparing reports.
• Represent DPW on site; ensure plans meet specs and standards.
• Advise on design/construct issues; coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain liaison with utilities, property owners, agencies, and the public.
• Gather data for change orders, directives, and project close-out docs.
