Job summary

Gibraltar Fabrication in Santa Teresa, NM seeks a Project Engineer to support daily field operations on heavy civil and perimeter security construction projects. You will work with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors to coordinate technical requirements, track progress, and ensure safety and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, RFIs, submittals, cost tracking, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Experience on heavy civil, infrastructure, or perimeter security projects.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and project scheduling practices.
• Strong planning, cost tracking, and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and documents to support field ops.
• Coordinate daily construction activities with management and subcontractors.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost docs.
• Track progress against schedules and contractual requirements.
• Verify quantities, materials, and field conditions for progress updates.
• Develop schedules using Primavera P6 and maintain WBS relationships.
• Produce progress reports, technical records, and dashboard updates.
• Attend project meetings and communicate technical items to field teams.
• Support planning, budgeting, procurement, and project closeout.
