Job summary

Gibraltar Fabrication, LLC is seeking an Office Project Engineer to provide technical, documentation, scheduling, and project controls support for heavy civil and perimeter security construction projects in El Paso, TX. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to keep accurate records and drive on-time project execution from startup through closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in an Office Engineer or Project Controls role preferred.
• Experience with heavy civil or perimeter security construction preferred.
• Experience using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project preferred.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, changes, and pay apps preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, baseline tracking, critical path, and reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, organize, and maintain project docs, drawings, specs, and records.
• Submit and track RFIs, submittals, transmittals, material approvals, and changes.
• Maintain logs for RFIs, drawings, changes, inspections, procurement, and correspondence.
• Review drawings to identify conflicts and constructability issues.
• Assist with developing and updating construction schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Track progress against baseline schedules, milestones, and requirements.
• Assist with look-ahead schedules and risk of delays.
• Analyze schedule activities, critical path, float, progress, and delays using Primavera.
• Prepare progress reports and supporting documentation.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, material tracking, and progress measurements.
• Support estimates, change orders, pay apps, and cost reports.
• Monitor subcontractor progress and required documentation.
• Coordinate procurement status and material deliveries.
• Maintain QA/QC docs, inspection records, and testing docs.
• Coordinate project information with all stakeholders.
• Keep project files organized electronically and physically.
• Support closeout with as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M manuals.
