Foster Lawson seeks a Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction to join a Massachusetts contractor on major infrastructure programs. You will work with PMs, superintendents and field teams to keep projects on schedule from planning through completion.

You will review plans, track progress, manage RFIs and submittals, and ensure safety and quality across active fronts, including rail, bridge, highway, and tunnel work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience on heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Familiarity with scheduling and project management software.
• OSHA knowledge and site safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to work on active job sites in MA.

Responsabilités

• Support day-to-day project execution with Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Review plans, specs, and contract documents to guide field operations.
• Track quantities, production rates, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, and change orders with design teams, subs, and suppliers.
• Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, and quality/safety compliance.
• Liaise with owners, engineers, inspectors, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and daily progress reporting.
