Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Field Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction to join a North-East regional contractor delivering bridge, highway and infrastructure projects. You will support field operations, interpret drawings, track quantities and materials, and help ensure quality, progress and site safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily site activities, surveying/layout support, maintaining reports and RFIs, and coordinating with subcontractors and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Heavy civil, bridge or highway construction experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Job Title: Field Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction

Day to Day

Join an established, employee-owned heavy civil contractor delivering major bridge construction, highway rehabilitation and infrastructure projects across New England. You’ll support field operations, coordinate daily construction activities, track quantities and materials, interpret engineering drawings, maintain project documentation and help ensure quality, progress and site safety.

• Track materials, labour, quantities and project progress.
• Maintain daily reports, RFIs and quality control records.
• Ensure work meets safety, quality and project standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Heavy civil, bridge or highway construction experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• AutoCAD, Bluebeam and surveying experience advantageous.
