Job Description:

The Field Project Engineer will manage field engineering, inspections, construction, commissioning, FAT at vendor workshops, develop ITPs, conduct contractor walkthroughs, review bids, and support site activities to meet project objectives, safety standards, schedule, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Serve as the on-site contact for construction and commissioning management.
  2. Oversee safety compliance including site orientation, permits, job safety analysis, toolbox meetings, audits, and safety events.
  3. Verify receipt and inspection of materials, manage non-conformities, and material custody transfers.
  4. Manage project documents from development to handover, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  5. Coordinate with external/internal suppliers and contractors to meet project scope and goals.
  6. Expedite deliveries and manage communication logs.
  7. Develop and manage construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays.
  8. Manage RFIs, ensure adherence to project plans, and update communication plans.
  9. Support contract administration and handle contractual disputes.
  10. Track and approve changes, close action items, and maintain project knowledge.
  11. Influence construction and commissioning strategies during project development.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred)
  • Project management experience (a plus)
  • Industrial gas industry experience (a plus)
