Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will perform field engineering management, including field inspections, construction, commissioning, FAT at vendor workshops, development of ITPs, contractor walkthroughs, bid reviews, and selection. The role involves leading site construction and commissioning teams to ensure project objectives, safety, schedule, cost, and quality standards are met.

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for construction and commissioning management.
  • Oversee safety compliance, including site orientation, permits, safety analyses, toolbox meetings, audits, and events.
  • Verify receipt and inspection of materials/equipment, manage non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
  • Manage project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and specifications.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to meet project scope, goals, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and manage construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays promptly.
  • Respond to RFIs within 48 hours, follow project execution plans, and maintain communication plans.
  • Support contract administration and manage change logs and escalation processes.
  • Close out actions promptly, review and update project strategies, and fill in for the Project Manager if needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred)
  • Experience managing projects (a plus)
  • Industrial gas experience (a plus)
