Job summary

Beck’s is offering a Production Intern role in Atlanta, IN, for a paid internship from May to August 2027. The program covers multiple segments including plant growth, pathology, entomology/IPM, nutrition, and weed control, with housing options available.

Interns will gain hands-on experience across crop science topics, including a summer project. Applicants should be rising college sophomores majoring in agronomy-related fields and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must have completed sophomore year in college and be majoring in one of the listed agronomy-related fields.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Learn basics of corn and soybean seed production and monitor emergence issues.
• Identify common diseases in corn and soybeans and assess management options.
• Monitor insect trap levels and participate in Beck’s IPM program.
• Learn soil nitrate sampling and leaf tissue diagnostics for crop nutrition.
• Assist in detasseling and document tassel counts, silk counts, pollen shed and maturities.
• Conduct a research project related to seed production.
