Beck’s Hybrids in Atlanta, Indiana is offering a part-time Research Intern position for the summer. The role focuses on hands-on learning in the Beck’s Research Department, spanning corn and soybean research, performance testing, molecular markers, and product development.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a college student.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Seed Preparation: travel to Beck’s location to prepare seed for the upcoming planting season; housing provided.
• Plot Planting: accompany Beck’s staff to outlying locations to assist with planting test plots.
• Data Collection: assist with collecting early and mid-season agronomic notes.
• Breeding Nursery: may travel and work at Beck’s location to assist with pollinating Beck’s corn breeding nursery; housing provided.
• Laboratory: may assist in molecular marker and/or transformation labs.
• Other duties as required by supervisor.
