Job summary

ChampionX is seeking an experienced Field Production Chemist for Anchorage, Alaska. You will monitor chemical programs, optimize processes, and act as SPOC for production chemistry issues across North Slope facilities.

This role involves hands-on field work, site inspections, and collaboration with operations and engineering teams. The rotation schedule is 14/14 or 28/28, and candidates must be willing to travel within the US to support field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) or related fields.
• 3 years of chemical industry experience.
• Ability to travel within assigned sales territory.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor chemical programs at North Slope facilities and drive continuous improvement of chemical applications.
• Monitor separation efficiency and recommend chemical, procedural, and mechanical improvements.
• Monitor produced fluids chemistry and recommend best-in-class solutions.
• Act as SPOC for all production chemistry issues.
• Perform site inspections, coordinate daily meetings, and conduct inventory audits at injection points.
• Collect production fluid samples and perform laboratory testing for chemical treatment performance analysis.
• Develop measures to maintain integrity through corrosion control techniques.
