Environmental Resources Management, Inc. (ERM) is hiring an Owner Advisor, Process Safety & Operational Readiness in Lebanon, Indiana to support a client’s capital project.

The role emphasizes field presence, risk identification, and verification of critical controls during construction, turnover, and startup with a 1-year term. This field-based position requires coordinating with project teams, contractors, and operations to ensure safe execution and readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting construction safety, industrial safety, commissioning, operational readiness, startup, or related activities.
• Experience on large industrial, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, chemical, industrial gas, refining, petrochemical, or similar high‑hazard projects.
• Experience supporting facilities involving hazardous materials or systems and familiarity with high‑consequence hazard recognition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible field presence with project teams, contractors, and craft personnel.
• Conduct field observations focused on process safety risks during construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Monitor activities involving hazardous materials, energy sources, and temporary systems.
• Support verification of critical controls for high‑risk work activities.
• Escalate significant process safety concerns to client leadership and contribute to readiness reviews.
