Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform scheduled and remedial service on UPS, PDU and battery systems for edge market customers in the United States. You will work with customers on-site and via phone, escalating to Technical Support when needed, and implement required Field Change Notices.

You will also handle safety compliance, reporting, inventory, and administrative tasks, with a strong focus on first-time fixes and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience (one or more of the following)
• High School or Vocational School Diploma
• 2-4 years military experience in a related technical field
• 0-2 years of relevant industry experience
• Interpersonal and Administrative Skills
• Technical skills

Responsibilities

• Perform service tasks per company policies and procedures
• Render on-site and phone assistance to customers
• Communicate with Technical Support on issues
• Implement Field Change Notices per guidelines
• Keep Safety Bulletins and Field Change Notices up to date
• Complete accurate administrative tasks (time cards, expense reports)
• Maintain inventory and company property
