Job summary

EWI Recruitment is seeking a Field Engineer – Pipe to support piping installation, inspection and maintenance across industrial projects. You will work on site with construction and engineering teams to ensure work meets designs, specs and safety requirements.

Applicants should have field-based piping or mechanical engineering experience, with a relevant qualification or apprenticeship desirable. Strong reading of drawings and ability to report using digital systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Field-based piping, mechanical engineering or construction experience.
• Engineering qualification or recognised technical apprenticeship desirable.
• Able to read technical drawings and work with digital reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate piping installation, fabrication, testing and commissioning on site.
• Review drawings, isometrics, specifications and method statements; resolve issues.
• Monitor progress, workmanship and compliance with schedules and quality standards.
• Inspect pipework, supports, valves, fittings; record defects and ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors and other engineering disciplines.
• Witness pressure testing, flushing, reinstatement and other inspection activities.
• Prepare daily reports, inspection records, progress updates and technical documentation.
• Promote safety by following risk assessments, permits and site procedures.
