Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Mechanical / Piping Field Engineer to support planning and execution of complex industrial construction scopes across project sites in the United States. You will bridge field and office operations, interpreting drawings, coordinating crews, and ensuring safety and quality on site.

This role offers travel and relocation opportunities, hands-on problem solving, and the chance to contribute to major projects from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Associate's degree in Construction Management also considered
• Minimum of 3+ years of construction experience in industrial or large-scale projects
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in varied environments
• Strong work ethic with initiative and ethics
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player who can work independently to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: Interpret drawings and specifications, prepare work plans, and schedule materials
• Office Engineering: Perform takeoffs, generate change orders, and support project management
• Estimating: Review data, assist with bid preparation and plan reviews
