Job summary

LAMP is seeking a Field Installation Engineer to translate drawings into correctly installed steel and pipe on process plants. The role involves walking the job daily to catch interferences and keep installation on tolerance.

You will verify settings, supervise grouting and final alignment, track piping against isometrics, resolve routing conflicts, and support QA/QC activities in volatile areas. OSHA 30 is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent field experience.
• 5+ years of field installation experience on process plants.
• Strong isometric and P&ID literacy; practical alignment and grouting knowledge.
• OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Verify equipment setting, elevation, orientation, levelness and alignment against drawings.
• Supervise grouting, anchor bolt tensioning, soft foot correction and final alignment of rotating equipment.
• Track piping installation against isometrics, including spool receipt, fit up, support installation and spring hanger settings.
• Resolve field routing conflicts and raise technical queries with clear proposed solutions.
• Coordinate ductwork and ventilation installation in hazardous classified areas.
• Support pressure testing, flushing and QA/QC verification.
• Maintain the redline markup that becomes the as-built package.

• Verify equipment setting, elevation, orientation, levelness and alignment against foundation and general arrangement drawings.
• Supervise grouting, anchor bolt tensioning, soft foot correction and final alignment of rotating equipment.
• Track piping installation against isometrics, including spool receipt, fit up, support installation and spring hanger settings.
• Resolve field routing conflicts, raise technical queries with clear proposed solutions, and drive engineering response.
• Coordinate ductwork and ventilation installation in volatile and hazardous classified areas.
• Support pressure testing, flushing and cleanliness verification with QA/QC.
• Maintain the redline markup set that becomes the as built package.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent field experience.
• Five or more years of field installation on process plants.
• Strong isometric and P&ID literacy and practical alignment and grouting knowledge.
• OSHA 30.

Preferred Qualifications

• Rotating equipment alignment certification.
• Stainless and hygienic piping experience.
