Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a journey level, nonexempt field operator in Williston, ND. The role involves pipeline pigging, ROW maintenance, and equipment repairs under general supervision.

You will oversee construction activities, line locates, and relief gauging, while keeping safety and regulatory compliance as top priorities. Daily duties include maintenance scheduling, project supervision, leak monitoring, and serving field pumps/LACT units.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals).
• Common sense approach to daily operational issues.
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions in sometimes-adverse conditions.
• Valid state driving license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Make safety a top priority and follow policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and repair pipeline equipment, perform pigging and ROW duties.
• Oversee pipeline construction, line locates, and relief gauging.
• Escort small maintenance and expansion projects from scope to procurement and supervision.
• Fill in for gaugers when needed and support environmental integrity.
• Monitor system for leaks, gains/losses, and report issues promptly.
• Service and maintain field pumps and LACT units; keep locations clean.
• Document all work and maintain up-to-date paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service and liaise with customers and staff.
