Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a journey level, nonexempt employee to support pipeline maintenance, pigging, right-of-way upkeep, and field equipment repairs. You will oversee construction, line locating, and relief gauging, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Strong communication and basic math skills are required. The role involves on-site work, occasional on-call duties, and interaction with customers and colleagues to provide dependable service.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-oriented.
• Ability to present information one-on-one or in small groups.
• Basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
• Apply common sense to day-to-day operations.
• Ability to make quick, reasonable decisions in sometimes-adverse conditions.
• Valid state operating license with driving record acceptable under company policy.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety daily and follow manuals and policies.
• Maintain pipeline and equipment, perform pigging, and monitor ROW and grounds.
• Oversee construction, line locates, and relief gauging.
• Manage small maintenance/expansion projects: scope, procure materials, supervise work.
• Fill in for gaugers as needed and support on-call duties.
• Monitor and troubleshoot gain/loss on the system and assess volumes.
• Service field pumps and LACT units; keep locations clean and organized.
• Observe pipelines daily for leaks, markers, and maintenance needs.
• Report leaks/repairs promptly to supervision and document accordingly.
• Coordinate with customers and workers to deliver reliable service.
• Adhere to safety, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
