Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a journey-level, nonexempt Field Operator in North Dakota to support pipeline maintenance, pigging, and ROW activities under general supervision.

You will perform repairs, supervise small projects with supervisor guidance, and coordinate with customers and contractors while ensuring safety, environmental integrity, and adherence to company policies. This role requires outdoor work and physical endurance.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer oriented and able to work with customers and contractors.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions.
• Apply common sense to day-to-day operations and follow procedures.
• Ability to make quick, reasonable decisions in adverse conditions.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety daily and ensure compliance with manuals and policies.
• Maintain pipeline by following pigging schedules, ROW, and equipment repairs.
• Lead small maintenance and expansion projects including scope, procurement, and supervision.
• Fill in for gaugers when needed and monitor gains/losses on the system.
• Service field pumps and LACT units, and keep locations and paperwork up to date.
