Job summary

SpecialtyRx, a Long-Term Care pharmacy, is opening a new location in Cook County, Illinois, and seeks a Travel Pharmacy Technician to support long-term care facilities across the area. This role requires traveling within Cook County and surrounding areas with independent work under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be local to the Cook County, Illinois area.
• Licensed Illinois Pharmacy Technician.
• Previous pharmacy experience required (long-term care preferred).
• Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and data entry preferred.
• Ability to use various programs and troubleshoot ADS issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Ability to perform light physical lifting.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel within Cook County and surrounding areas in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Work independently under supervision.
• Maintain communication with client facility and pharmacy staff.
• Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
• Maintain accurate ADS information, including quantity and expiration date.
• Identify and address discrepancies for proper billing.
• Replace potentially expiring inventory.
• Restock depleted inventory.
• Perform monthly audits (cycle counts).
• Provide reports for the facility.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

NOTICE:

SpecialtyRx is seeking a Travel Pharmacy Technician located in the surrounding areas of Cook County, Illinois.
